In 2020, the pandemic hits the artistic field and restrictions prevent the dancers from performing on stage. The Norrdans dance company therefore decided to set up a tour initiated by a collaboration between Martin Forsberg and Tove Berglund, entitled "VÅR VÅR", a series of continuous outside performances created and danced by the dancers.

Rebecka Berchtold and Alban Ovanessian create the duet "rosa.svart.station", a choreographic balance between their own respective artistic practices answering to the basic following question : « What is it to dance together and how ? ». 

 

The first practice is based on an improvisation technique approaching the body as a texture, an objectification of sensations, a tool not confirmed to the emotional but to the primitive sensation of the human body mechanism. 

The second being access to a collection of dates that have impacted or generated a physical interaction with the body, related to a physical practice that has occurred, and find itself rephysicalised. 

 

Using these two creative processes, a score of personal and candid movements, on meticulous rendez-vous points in space, approaches this dance as a unity at the intersection of experiences, some common, some personal. Past and present are thus interwoven, highlighting the similarity of their respective experiences and sensations. 

 

A playground of connections therefore takes place. 

 

The two performers architect their movements with precision and attention, intertwining directions and orientations but differentiating themselves by their body configurations: their intentions match and refine themselves as they go along, generating a visual and poetic adequacy. 

 

Long and horizontal arms. An angle punctuated by a clap of the hands. Fragmented chessboard placements. 

 

The resurgence of their dance with its disparate and singular movements is set against the bushy and labyrinthine lines of the Scandinavian landscape. The reference points are no longer the corners of a wall, nor the front mirror of a studio, but the presence of hundred-year-old trees, the fall of a waterfall, the edge of a field. 

 

In the corner, a radio is on, broadcasting a Swedish pop hit from the 90s, a hard rock metal song, a romantic and old-fashioned ballad. At each performance, the two dancers tune in to a radio station whose only desire is to dance to what they don't know, contrasting with their rigorous score, written like a life story. 

 

Thus their duet takes on a different meaning according to the musical dramaturgy of the moment, dramatising their story under sometimes ironic, sometimes melodramatic narrations where smiles and warm glances are exchanged like a « picnic » tone said "VÅR VÅR" in Swedish. An invitation to remember that dancing is sometimes just a moment of lightness and sharing between people.
